:: Welcome ::

This blog is mostly about me trying to get myself knocked up, because that’s where my life is right now.  I suppose that if I ever actually DO get knocked up, it will be all about being pregnant.  Then after that someday, it will be about some little kid wobbling his diapered ass around my house.  That’s life.

Trying to get pregnant has been an on-going torture, and I figured that I may as well start keeping track of this crap, so that some day, I can turn to my bratty teenager and say “SEE ALL OF THE PAIN AND HEARTACHE THAT I WENT THROUGH FOR YOU? NOW GO AND CLEAN YOUR GODDAMN ROOM!”

Before I went and got myself hitched last December, I’d been told countless times that I am apparently “behind the curve” on this whole baby-making adventure because I am 30 years old. Apparently 30 is the magic number where all of your eggs dry up and shrivel into dust.

On top of being a withered old hag, I was also diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago, which is primarily caused by insulin resistance. So yes, it’s been fun.

I’ve already run the fertility gauntlet for a few months now, including pills, shots, and all kinds of oh-so-romantic sex schedules (because nothing sets the mood better than your wife chasing you down the hall like one of those rage zombies from 28 Days Later, while screaming “YOU HAVE TO SCREW ME, I AM OVULATING TODAY!!!”).

I’ll try and condense the whole super-fun fertility experience up until this point in the first two or three posts, and then will pick up from there with any new stuff.  I may also blog about other random happenings in my life, because this is my blog and I will do as I damn well please.

Happy reading!
